Inspired by an article written by Doug Most for Parents Magazine‘s November 2009 issue called, “Life in the Slow Lane” my husband and I are now striving to be Slow Parents.
No more over scheduling!
We play to learn. We are learning to play again. Its okay to spend a morning wrestling. It is great to walk to the park and swing away an afternoon. It is fantastic to spend all day building towers, just so the kids can knock them down! (Can you tell I have 2 boys, wrestling & building towers!?!) Kids need to play.
This is what some of the moms from Momversation have to say about over-scheduling.
