I found this green, money saving, craft craving fix how-to on Flickr (thank you Guerilla Handbags!).

template and fabric I used for inserts
I have been busy and craft fulfilled ever since. I am proud to say that I am actually finishing a project that I started. My willfinishsomedayIswear bin of crafts wasn’t even opened (which is a good thing because it doesn’t open as much as it explodes fabric and batting shrapnel everywhere).

The new microfiber inserts work great. They wash well and are very absorbent. I would highly recommend making these if you use gDiapers. Well worth the effort of dragging out the sewing machine!
**UPDATE**
This afternoon we had out first number 2 in the new liners. To be honest, it wasn’t one of those Why am I a SAHM, this is the most disgusting job IN THE WORLD poops. It was an average M actually ate his lunch poop. The liner worked great. Everything was soaked up and M’s little bum was still dry to the touch. Now that I have had both good number 1 & 2 experiences, I can confidently recommend you give these a try.
gDiaper insert

I am working on writing a post about this, but for now…. here is a pic of my latest endeavor. With the help from a pattern I found on Flickr, I am making inserts for the boys’ gDiapers. I am pretty excited about it. So far the ones I have made work pretty well but are not nearly as absorbent as I would like. I am positive the second batch of them will work better because I filled them with microfiber as suggested instead of the layers of flannel I fill the first batch with.
