Makes Me Smile Everytime.
May 20th

sometimes, this photo even makes me laugh. I don’t know what it is about this pic, his stance? his crooked hat? the fact that he calls this his “Tiger Sweatshirt” just because of the orange stripes? I just don’t know. But it never fails to make me smile.
Can You Dig It?
Apr 29th

M and his favorite Eddie Excavator aerating the soil around the hastas. He has spent countless hours this spring digging in this patch of dirt. And I have spent countless hours after the digging expeditions bathing him. I don’t know how he does it, but he manages to get dirt in EVERY crevice!
Our Lazy Mutt
Apr 27th

Lucy follows the sun. If she is not outside on the deck sun bathing, she is relaxing in a pool of sunlight shining in from the windows. I think out of all of us, Lucy is the one who appreciates the warm weather the most. She is solar powered just like I am. If I don’t get sun, I do not function. If it is a rainy day, I am crabby. If it is before sun rise or after sun set, I am useless. If I wasn’t spending my days monitoring poo flinging, I would do exactly what Lucy does all day long. I would lay in the sun and bask in its wonderfulness!
Backwards Day
Apr 27th

After a desperate cry for help on Twitter and to my mom, I tried zipping the boys into their pjs backward last night. So far so good. They kept their pjs on all night. I didn’t have to clean any poo this morning! This is a vast improvement from yesterday. Now my next question… do I put the boys into backward pjs again for nap time? do I hope for the best? do I try duct tape again?

P looks out this window at his truck all day long. He is so sad that he isn’t outside playing with it. Nothing is harder to explain to the sad puppy dog eyes of a 2 year old boy that 5 degrees is very cold, too cold for little boys. All P wants for Christmas is warm enough weather to play outside in the snow. Santa did you hear that? We want temps in the DOUBLE DIGITS!!!

This picture is a bit of a cheat, but since I made up the rules to the challenge, I can change them too. Besides, I don’t think there were any rules about posting old pics… So here is my 3rd pic. This was taken in January of this year. As you can tell after only 3 days of pics, I love silhouettes. I love the color is this photo but what I love best of all is that every time I look at this pic I can hear my son pleading, “More Daddy!” He had so much fun that day. Ironically, that is his little brother’s Christmas present that he is being pulled in. But that is the way it goes in our house. M gets all the toys, P plays with whatever is left over. Today it was a plunger. And if I recall correctly the day this photo was taken he was playing with a water bottle.
Envy Me!
Nov 23rd

You know what, skip the envy. Just bow down. I defy any of you, that means all 6 of you regular readers and anyone else who just happened across this post, to post a pic of a better organized tupperware cupboard or drawer!!!
Leave a link to your pic, if you dare!
Nature’s Lessons
Sep 1st

Shortly after learning that cow poo poo is called a cow pie, M learned another of nature’s lessons.
Explaining to a 3 year old why a baby cow is sucking on its mommy proved to be easier than I thought.
Me: “Mommy cows make milk for their baby cows, called calves, to eat. Calves like milk just like you do.”
M(still watching and looking slightly perplexed): Oh.
Me (changing the subject): “Hey, M… what does the cow say?”
M: “Cow goes….Cow Pie!”
